In this installment of our Agent Spotlight series at Gulf Coast REGroup we’re interviewing Jeff Aumiller, who specializes in Sarasota County Real Estate. Let’s learn more about his buying/selling expertise, as well as get to know him a bit better outside of the real estate world.
What do you love about real estate, why’d you get into real estate in the first place?
What I love about real estate is it is never the same day twice. Coming from a corporate background the thought of being stuck in an office day in and day out was not appealing. I chose to get into real estate primarily to have my own destiny in my hands. My income was a direct result of my efforts.
Is there a particular area in Southwest Florida you concentrate on (or love to work in)?
In SW Florida, the areas I concentrate on are Sarasota and Manatee counties as a whole, but Lakewood Ranch (which is a large community of many neighborhoods) is the primary area I love to work in as it’s in my backyard. I have serviced Siesta Key, Venice, Longboat Key, Anna Maria Island and many more. I am happy to go where my clients need me.
What do you do for fun?
For fun I enjoy sports, dining, music, hanging with friends, the beach, fishing and all the benefits of living in Florida with the sunshine and blue skies.
Favorite restaurant?
My favorite restaurant is tough….I have a few. Libby’s, Shore, Casarianno’s Italian to name a few but there are so many we enjoy going to for atmosphere, fun, and food.
What are your keys to success?
I believe my keys to success are being able to listen to a client and what they really want and then having the insight, knowledge, and personality to help guide them through a trusting real estate transaction.
How has our system worked for you?
I have been a broker in the past with 240 agents at its peak. I have overseen several large teams so I have come across many versions of systems, follow throughs, and communications. What I have experienced here with the SW Florida Real Estate Group is really second to none. Their timing, approach, and systems WORK. But their people are the key. I believe they have people who care because they are treated well. The effort put in by everyone on the team has been first class. It makes what I do a lot easier.
Any tips for new agents?
What my tips for a new agent would be is prepare to put the time in. Success does not happen overnight. Traction in this industry takes time and EFFORT. Work the systems, stay in touch, and always remember to follow through. Educate yourself to gain confidence.
